Shipping & Return Information
Tailwater Marine is leading the way in quick, affordable shipping. All Express Shipping orders placed before 12:30pm Central Standard Time will be picked, packed, and shipped that same day. Orders over $75 receive FREE ground shipping. All other ground deliveries are only $9.29 within the Contiguous US. Orders exceeding $250 will require a signature for delivery.
Note: First time customers will be asked to establish an order history before shipping to alternate addresses. Customers choosing overnight shipping may be contacted for verification and verbal approval.
Free Ground Shipping Details
- Free Ground shipping on orders over $75.
- Offer valid in the contiguous U.S. Only.
- Does not include Saturday delivery.
- Offer not retroactive on prior purchases.

Exceptions: Due to dimension and weight limitations assessed by UPS, orders made with an extraordinary amount of weight or large dimensions may be subject to a freight charge. A large quantity of Plano Tackle Boxes, for example, may require a freight charge. Please call 877-767-7650 or e-mail [email protected] if you think you may be placing an order that could incur a shipping charge. We will confirm if your order does need a freight charge and can supply you with a shipping cost for your purchase at that time.
Note: We apologize, but we can not ship oversize packages to P.O. Box numbers (i.e. fishing rods, antennas, etc....). Any oversize orders with delivery addresses to Box numbers will be cancelled and fully refunded the next business day and return to your form of payment within 3-5 business days.
UPS Next Day Air Saver
Please be advised when choosing UPS Next Day Air Saver as a shipping option, depending on your location, UPS may require a signature in order to leave it at a residence. If a signature is required and no one is available to sign for the package, UPS will not leave it. We would strongly suggest that if you choose UPS Next Day Air as a shipping option, someone be home to sign for the package or have it shipped to a business where someone is available to sign for it. Tailwater Marine will not be held responsible for reimbursing UPS Next Day Air Saver shipping charges if there is no one available for a signature release.
Note: All rod orders with additional items being shipped via UPS Next Day Air Saver may incur an increased shipping charge. The shipping charge shown when the order is submitted is subject to change. If your order needs to be shipped in two separate boxes you will be notified via e-mail. The shipping charge reflected on your final order confirmation e-mail will be the correct shipping cost.
UPS Next Day Air Saver Information
All orders placed with UPS Next Day Air Saver will be delivered the next day (with the exception of the weekends/holidays) with no specific arrival time. If a UPS Next Day Air Saver is submitted on Friday it will be delivered, guaranteed, Monday after the weekend (or Tuesday if it is a Holiday weekend).
Back Ordered Items
After your initial shipment of in stock items are sent, all remaining back ordered items are shipped free of charge. If all items are out of stock when you submit your order, you are responsible for the initial shipping charge. If we receive a portion of the order we will ship those items at the original cost of shipping and the remaining back ordered items will ship at no cost to you.
The method of shipping will depend on the best option available. Back ordered items will ship either First Class Mail or UPS Ground. If you would like your back ordered items to be sent out using a specific shipping method you will need to contact us at 1-800-300-4916 or [email protected]. You will be charged for the cost of shipping your back ordered items if any other method is chosen. Typically, back ordered items, if not sent out the same day, will go out the following day. Travel time will depend on your location within the continental US. Please be advised, unless otherwise notified all back ordered items will be sent via First Class Mail or UPS Ground.
Backordered items will ship out once they are all in stock.
General Travel Time Breakdown
With the exception of Priority Overnight Saturday Delivery, weekend days are not included in the travel time of a package. All UPS shipments offer tracking.
Note- Delivery and transit days are Monday-Friday only. Packages do not move in transit, or deliver on weekends.
FedEx Priority Overnight (Saturday Delivery) can have an order delivered on a Saturday. This shipping option can only be selected by placing an order over the phone.
UPS Ground
Please see the map below for approximate travel times.
Transit days for ground shipments are business days and do not include weekends or holidays. Transit days are approximate and not guaranteed on ground shipments
Priority Mail
Typical travel time is 4-10 working days regardless of destination. This shipping option is not insured and does not offer a tracking service.
Note: All Ground and Priority Mail shipment times are approximate and are subject to change.
UPS 2nd Day
As long as your order is placed before 12:30pm Central Standard Time Mon.-Fri. your order will ship the same day. If you place a UPS 2nd Day Air on Monday you should expect to receive it on Wednesday (no particular arrival time is allotted for these shipments). If you place a UPS 2nd Day Air on Thursday you will receive the order, guaranteed, that following Monday (weekend days not included in travel time).
Returns and Exchanges
In the event that you would like to exchange or return an item please email [email protected] to get an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization). If you have a question that your invoice does not address please call and speak with a customer service representative who will give you return information specific to the product you are returning.
